VOL 3: Youth Against Corruption

The third phase of the “Youth Against Corruption” training, designed for young people from Gegharkunik, took place from November 29 to December 1.

The training began with a discussion led by Mariam Hoveyan, Program Manager at Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center, where participants explored types and manifestations of corruption. This was followed by sessions with investigative journalists Gevorg Tosunyan and Tirair Muradyan, who introduced practical methods and tools for analyzing public procurement data and officials’ asset declarations.

Over the course of three days, participants also had the opportunity to discuss the whistleblowing system with lawyer Varduhi Avanesyan and engage in a conversation on corruption, security, and democracy with Gayane Abrahamyan, President of the “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO.

An essential part of the training included thematic games, film screenings, and a poster competition illustrating the chains and consequences of corruption. These activities not only helped participants reinforce and apply their newly acquired knowledge but also provided an opportunity to build connections and strengthen peer engagement.

“Youth Against Corruption” project is implemented within the framework of the “Armenia Integrity” project with the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
