Building Connections, Managing Resources, and Community Impact
“Article 3: Women’s Leadership Academy” educational program is implemented by the “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Armenia.
The first phase of the program continued with a meeting with lawyer Nvard Piliposyan, who led a discussion on “Women’s Rights: Legal Framework”. During this session, participants were introduced to the legal mechanisms for combating domestic violence.
The next meeting took place with Yevgeniya Vardanyan, Coordinator-Advisor at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. During this session, participants explored the role of the community in raising awareness and addressing social issues, followed by a training on mapping community resources and identifying potential programs.
In the next phase, participants engaged in group activities that focused on communication, building connections, and strengthening relationships within communities, under the guidance of civil society capacity-building consultant Hayk Abrahamyan.
The first phase of the program concluded with a meeting with Khanoom Gevorgyan, Program Director at the “For Equal Rights” Educational Center. During this session, participants learned about program implementation and evaluation, and had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the application process for community projects.
The next phase of the program will begin soon, during which participants will develop and implement community development projects.
