Fifth media literacy and civic education MIL hub was opened at the secondary school in the village of Ghukasavan

In his welcoming speech, Martin Manukyan, Head of the Education, Culture, and Sports Department of the Ararat Regional Administration, emphasized not only the importance of implementing such programs in communities but also the necessity of developing media literacy and information security.
Gayane Abrahamyan, President of the “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO, expressed her gratitude to the school principal, Mrs. Aharonyan, and the program’s beneficiary teachers for their hard work, dedication, and willingness.
✅️ Teachers who received grants as part of the “Resilience Through Media Literacy” program presented the activities they had carried out and shared a list of upcoming courses, competitions, and games to be held at the MIL hub.
???? The opening ceremony concluded with an interactive performance titled “Fake News Press Club,” staged through a collaboration between our organization and the Samson Movsisyan Theater Group.

The program is co-financed by the “Freedom House” and the Democracy Development Foundation (DDF). The previous four MIL hubs created by the NGO are located in Nerkin Karmiraghbyur, Novembriyan, Martuni, and Vardenis.
The “Fake News Press Club” performance has come to life within the “MediaDitak: Resilience Through Media Literacy” educational program. MediaDitak” Media Literacy Festival is funded through a Department of State Public Diplomacy Section grant, and implemented by the “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO.
