Art as a Tool for Youth Empowerment and Rehabilitation
“For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO, with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Armenia, launched the “Teenagers’ Capacity Development, Rehabilitation, and Inclusion” educational program, organizing and implementing cultural activities and art therapy courses in various communities over the three months of summer.
The goal of the courses was to support the integration and rehabilitation of forcibly displaced Artsakh teenagers through art, while also providing them with educational and recreational activities during their summer break.
Within the framework of the program, the “Bohem Art Studio” in the town of Sevan, Gegharkunik region, became a favorite spot for both local and displaced Artsakh teenagers who found refuge in the town. Painter Gohar Mnatsakanyan createda safe space for the teenagers to express themselves creatively and explore the world through colors, ensuring a vibrant and colorful summer for the youth.
