The Closing Ceremony of “MediaDitak” Media Literacy Fest in Noyemberyan was Unforgettable
“MediDitak” media literacy fest concluded with an interesting closing ceremony. At Noyemberyan High School, participants were greeted with welcome remarks by Arsen Aghababyan, head of the Noyemberyan Community, Veronika Khorasanyan, representative of the Department of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the RA, and Gayane Abrahamyan. The certificate handing ceremony for the program participants followed the welcoming part.
Before the “Fake News Club” performance as the event’s closing act, there was a screening of the animated film about media literacy created by Margarita Nalbandyan, our program participant.
From July 25-30, “MediaDitak” media literacy festival succeeded in bringing together over 200 youth from the Gegharkunik and Tavush communities, establishing itself as a new platform for developing analytical thinking and promoting media literacy. The festival was also a great opportunity for dozens of youngsters to plan and implement events related to the theme, including cultural, including educational, interactive and environmental activities, uniting everyone under the slogan “Come to MediaDitak to Become Media Literate.”
“MediaDitak” media literacy festival was funded within the framework of the grant received from the Office of the Public Diplomacy of the US State Department and is implemented by “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO.
