The next stop for “MediaDitak” Media Literacy Festival is Tavush. On the third day of the festival, a quest game created by the participatns took place in the town of Noyemberyan.
During the game, students tackled media literacy questions and navigated through various stages of the quest. The quest concluded with a fake news poster competition, where participants explained step-by-step how to verify and fact-check fake news.
We ended the day with a film screening at the media literacy and civic education classroom club, which was established last year at Noyemberyan High School as part of the “Resilience through Media Literacy” program. High school students watched and discussed the film “Spotlight” with team members, which recounts the investigative journalism efforts of the Boston Globe to uncover a major scandal.
“MediaDitak” Media Literacy Festival is funded through a Department of State Public Diplomacy Section grant, and implemented by “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO.
