“MediaDitak. Media Literate and Protected Communities” Program was Launched with a Capacity Building Camp

“MediaDitak. Media Literate and Protected Communities” program was launched with a capacity building camp bringing together 40 high school students from the Tavush and Gegharkunik communities. During the camp, participants will engage in discussions with field experts on topics such as media literacy, critical thinking, and human rights issues. They will also learn and practice fact-checking tools and methods, gaining new skills in this field. The camp will conclude with sessions on how to write grant proposals, followed by training on project implementation, preparing participants to carry out their own projects.

The first day of the camp was filled with engaging activities, including ice-breakers, team-building activities, and opportunities for participants to get to know each other. The participants had the chance to meet educational expert Serob Khachatyran, with whom they discussed the importance of developing critical thinking as a foundation for media literacy. Through engaging discussions, he shared valuable knowledge on enhancing analytical thinking

The main goal of the program is to develop the skills of children from regions, providing them with the necessary skills to implement projects that will promote media literacy, human rights and educational solutions within their communities.

MediaDitak” media literacy festival is funded within the framework of the grant received from the Office of the Public Diplomacy of the US State Department, with the support of  THE SIGRID RAUSING TRUST institutional grant, and is implemented by “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO.
