Youth Against Corruption second phase

From September 13-15, the second phase of the capacity-building training for Tavush youth took place in Dilijan, as part of the “Youth Against Corruption” project.
????During the three-day training, participants discussed the types and manifestations of corruption with Mariam Hoveyan, “Transparency International” Anti Corruption Center Program Director. They also studied the whistleblowing system with the TIAC lawyer, Varduhi Avanesyan, and strengthened their knowledge of whistleblower protection mechanisms during a lecture with Yeva Saghoyan, Advisor to the Prosecutor General of RA.
The discussion on corruption, democracy, and security, led by Gayane Abrahamyan, “For Equal Rights” Educational Center NGO Founding President, served as a fitting and insightful continuation of the previous topics.
Emphasizing the importance of developing practical skills, the participants of the training had the opportunity to engage in practical exercises with investigative journalists Gevorg Tosunyan and Mkrtich Karapetyan. Through these exercises, they learned methods and tools for examining public procurements and officials’ declarations.
An essential part of the training included interactive activities such as themed games, a film screening, and a poster competition illustrating the chains and consequences of corruption.
“Youth Against Corruption” project is implemented within the framework of the “Armenia Integrity” project with the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
